10 Weeks of Thursday Enrichment Classes for Your Homeschool Students!

Enrichment Day Goals:

  1. 1. To glorify God as we represent both Christ and homeschooling in a positive light to the community.
  2. 2. To exhibit and grown in Christ-like behavior in our attitudes, actions and words as we interact with others.
  3. 3. To experience fun and fellowship as friendships are developed with like-minded peers while we learn and work together.
  4. 4. To provide supplemental learning opportunities to enrich our children’s education in the areas of physical education, the arts, life skills, and other electives.

Enrichment Day Expectations:

“Enrichment Day” is a cooperative effort on the part of C.A.C.H.E. homeschooling families who desire to work with other homeschooling families in the Body of Christ to enrich our children’s education.  Classes will be coordinated, supervised and led by homeschool parents.  Programs will operate on a co-op basis, so every adult is expected to be an active participant on one team (see options below) - sharing input, ideas, planning and presenting material, and assisting however needed.  When children are present, a parent from that family must also be present in the building (unless prior arrangements have been made with the Support Team.

AM Classes will meet Thursday mornings at 9:30—12:00 pm, Sept. 17—Nov. 19 at First Baptist Church, 1110 S. Cochran, Charlotte, MI  48813.

Classes for birth—age 5

Nursery/Preschool:  Your child will be cared for in a warm and loving atmosphere.  Preschoolers will be engaged in a routine of art, snack, story time and songs.

Classes for Age 6—12:

Students rotate through all three classes

Art: Students will use the Barry Stebbing art curriculum to learn drawing, blending and painting.

Music:  Students will learn basic fundamentals of music by learning how to play the recorder.

Gym:  Students will be provided with basic instruction in athletics and participate in a variety of wholesome recreational games and activities.

Classes for Age 13 and up:

Students rotate through two classes

Gym:  Students will be provided with basic instruction in athletics and participate in a variety of wholesome recreational games and activities.

Spelling:  Students learn spelling through a variety of games and activities.

Cooking:  Students learn the basic cooking techniques by preparing food to be available for sale at lunch time.

Recorders:  Student learn how to play the recorder.
