Enrichment Day
WHAT is CACHE Enrichment Day Co-op?
Like Academic Coops, CACHE Enrichment Day Co-op is a cooperative effort on the part of CACHE families who desire to work with other homeschoolers in the body of Christ to supplement our children’s education. Unlike Academic Co-ops, our Enrichment Day Co-op centers primarily (but not always exclusively) around learning in the arts, physical education, life skills, and other electives. Usually, these classes are not designed to be the main course of study for any given subject area. As a result, most classes can be enjoyed on Thursdays with little or no outside work to be accomplished at home—particularly in the elementary grades. Enrichment Day classes are determined and designed by those CACHE families participating. As a result, the classes offered will be different at each term.
WHO can participate?
Again, these co-ops are intended for CACHE members. Co-op classes are planned, coordinated, supervised, and led by teams of CACHE homeschool parents.
One adult from each participating family is expected to be an active participant on one team—sharing input and ideas, planning and presenting material, and assisting however needed.
WHEN do Enrichment Day Co-ops meet?
There are two terms of Enrichment Day Co-ops per year—ten weeks in the fall and ten weeks in the winter/spring. Fall term will typically be Thursday in mid-September. Registration forms, which contain the dates and details for Enrichment Day is available to download from the website in early June (fall term) and December (winter/spring term).
WHERE do Enrichment Day Co-ops meet?
The CACHE Enrichment Day meets at First Baptist Church, 1110 S. Cochran, Charlotte, MI 48813
HOW do I register to participate?
Re-enrollment for families participating usually begins at the end of each term once current participating families decide on classes for the next term. As classes are finalized and registration forms updated, they will be posted on the website. CACHE families will also be able to ask questions and register at the Ice Cream Social in June for the fall term.
WHY enrichment co-ops?
CACHE families recognized the need for coming together for support and fellowship. Enrichment Days were born. Although each term is unique, the purposes are similar. Over the years, our children have engaged in a wide variety of learning experiences and have also enjoyed making friendships. Enrichment Day is a great way to connect with fellow homeschoolers—both for beginners and veterans.
